The veneer procedure

Porcelain veneers typically take 2 visits to complete. At the first visit the teeth are smoothed and shaped to allow for a proper fit of the final veneers. Impressions are taken to fabricate models on which the veneers are made. At the end of the first visit you will leave wearing temporary veneers. These can be quite cosmetic and are used to ensure that these fit properly. This provides the patients a chance to evaluate and provide their insight on shapes and color. After about 3 weeks the patient returns to have the custom veneers bonded into place following approval by the dentist and patient.
